The Shout 365 3 x 3 Commitment: This little book has been about a dare.
I dare you, the pastor and youth pastor, to make a three-year commitment to equipping your people to make and keep their three commitments—the same three commitments that people are making week after week Shout Sunday after Shout Sunday. (As I write these lines, over 100 people made these same three commitments just this morning.)
Commitment Number One: For an adult (prayer mentor) from your church to pray for his or her assigned student from your church every day—to lift a daily prayer shout 365.
Commitment Number Two: For the prayer mentor to continue to pray for his or her assigned student until he or she graduates from college or is married.
Commitment Number Three: For the prayer mentor to encourage his or her student a couple a times a year with a note to say, “I’m still here and I’m still praying for you!”
If you will make a three-year commitment to equipping your people to make and keep their three commitments, you will begin to turn your people into a band of powerful and effective prayer warriors on behalf of your students. And when your people get there, everything will change. God will show you “great and mighty things you do not know”....
